LEHIGH RIVER
The Lehigh River, flowing through
Lehigh Gorge State Park in the western Pocono Mountains
in northwestern Pennsylvania. Rafting on this river offers 13 miles
of Class III river rafting ideal for beginners and
families or for intermediate rafters.
Lehigh
River rafting trips typically
operate between March and October with this river’s flow regulated by water
releases from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at the Francis
E. Walter Dam and enhanced by streams flowing into the river throughout
the park. Located near Jim Thorpe, rafting the
Lehigh River’s 17 rapids through the beautiful Lehigh
River Gorge is the perfect day rafting trip
for East Coast river runners!
